Last Thursday I spent the morning with Kapri and her family. You may remember her Mommy & Daddy from their maternity session back in January. I am so excited that they selected one of our baby's first year packages. I always get so attached to the families I photograph, and am SO looking forward to this next year with Kapri, and being able to document all her milestones and growth! (plus I get the added bonus of hanging out with her wonderful parents and snuggling her throughout the year!) ;)
Can I just say that I think I'm in love with Kapri? Isn't she just the cutest little thing? And only 5 days old, and so perfect! She slept through most of our session. Put up with us fussing with her, moving her, and everything without a peep! (and let me tell you, it was a VERY eventful session, just ask Mom & Dad!) ;)

Daddy is an avid hunter. I loved his idea of incorporating the ruggedness of his hunting, with her petite newborn innocence. He actually shot that bison in the background with a bow & arrow.... how cool is that!?!?
Daddy is also a talented musician and enjoys playing his guitar for Kapri
Do these photos not completely capture how each new parent spends most of their first days with their little one. Snuggles, kisses, and you just can't stop staring at your perfect little baby!
I've been trying to think outside the box lately and try a few new things with each of my sessions. I'm not sure what it is about this photo, but I love the abstractness of it!
That little mouth, and perfect petal lips.... I just want to snuggle her every time I see this photo! :)
And finally, this photo makes me smile, and laugh, because really, this is what every parent looks like over their new little one, taking photo every second! I LOVE it!!
Brad & Lauren, I had SUCH a wonderful time with you, thank you for welcoming me into your home. I so enjoyed visiting, and snuggling little Kapri, and documenting these first few days with your perfect little bundle. You two are amazing parents, and I can't wait to show the rest of the photos soon! :)
