Ok first off, this family was so so so sooooooooooooooo much fun to photograph, and not only that, their son Cole, lets just say this little guy was not afraid to be in front of the camera at all!!!  I love it!!!  Last weekend I ventured out to Roseville to meet up with Leslie, Ken, and the amazing Cole.  Now this family was so genuine and loving, and it trully showed.  From the interaction they have together, to the laughter, to everything about them, they trully are a amazing family, and their actions and positive attitude is contagious, plus Tehy love baseball/softball so in my book you already are way cool.  You can't help but to laugh with them and just enjoy them around you.  It was so much fun, I couldn't wait to start editing these bad boys! Leslie, Ken and Cole, you guys ROCKED THIS WAY OUT!!!  Enjoy the teaser!!!

I can't believe how quickly time has flown by.  Kapri is already 9 months old!!  It seems like just yesterday that I was just meeting Brad & Lauren for their maternity photos!!  I get so excited when I get to see this family again.  They are so much fun, Kapri is just adorable, and sweet, and I love catching up with Lauren and Brad!  Brad we missed you this time, but I hope you guys got LOTS of deer and didn't freeze too much on your hunt! :)

Enjoy your teaser; the rest of the photos will be ready shortly!

This little bear is SO cute! Lauren told me that it was a gift for Brad this Christmas; it was made from his grandmothers mink coat that she wore often.  I was so excited to take some photos of Kapri with it for Brad!

Kapri can now hold on to furniture and stand.  She was SO PROUD of herself showing off her new tricks to me!!

We take a few photos each time we get together to show how much she's grown.  This one is always one of my favorites to take!

Look at Kapri go with the Crawling!

Lauren, you look fabulous rockin' the dark hair, I LOVE it!!

After all that playing, Kapri was done, and ready for a nap.

Wow, has it been a year already!?!?  This time last year I met Tiffany and her adorable family when I photographed Alexa's newborn photos.  I was SO excited to come back and see everyone again.  I'm in awe of how much the girls have grown in just a year!!!  I had so much fun playing with the girls at the park, and then back at home.  Tiffany, thank you so much for having me out, enjoy your teaser, there's more to come soon! :)

These next two photos crack me up.  I just love the pure anadulturated HAPPINESS these girls had on the playground!

After our fun outdoors, we went back home and Alexa enjoyed some ice cream before they got into their Christmas dresses!

There is something about how focused a toddler is when they play with their toys.  I LOVE it!!

The girls LOVE dancing to I Got A Feeling, so Tiffany turned up the music, and I LOVE how Cariana grabbed their dog's paws and began dancing!!

Giggles... they make me happy! :)

What a good looking couple!! :)

Chris and I have been working and planning for an exciting workshop!! It's a workshop for YOU! This is not for professional photographers, but for moms & dads and those that love to capture life as it happens. Those that want to know how to control their cameras so that their photos look like what they had envisioned in their head, when they clicked the shutter!

Over the last several months we have had more and more people calling, emailing, facebooking, and twittering us with questions about their new cameras. These questions have come from Moms & Dads who bought a Digital SLR, in the hopes of recording those spontaneous moments in their lives beautifully. (An SLR is one of those big fancy cameras, that you can change the lenses on; for those that don't know what that term means).

We can't be at your home 24/7, photographing you and your family, and many of those special moments happen without warning, first steps, dad falling asleep with the kids reading bedtime stories, etc. We will still be here to photograph your family photos, and edit them and print them professionally. Because let's face it, you still need photos with all of you together.  The kids need photos with you in FRONT of the camera instead of behind it! ;) This workshop is for those moments between photo sessions, those moments that are unplanned, but just as special!

As many of you know, I began my journey down the road to becoming a Sacramento portrait photographer as nothing more than a mom with a camera, wanting to make my day to day photos of my kids look as beautiful and awesome as I could.

I wanted those special moments to be recorded as they happen, in the spontaneous moments of life, just as beautifully as I remembered them.  I taught myself through reading every book/manual/online forum I could get my hands on. It was a constant process of trial and error.  I would look at magazines and books and try and figure out how those photos were achieved.  I would try out what I thought would give my photo that look, use a whole roll of film and wait for it to come back from being developed and see if what I tried was successful.  (remember the old days of waiting!?!?!)

My passion in professional photography has always been to provide other's that same gift.  Photos that convey that passion, moment, spontaneous laugh or tear as they happen.  Photos that serve as a visual memory of our lives.

And that is why we are going to be offering this workshop!  We want to help all of our friends, and clients who want to capture life through photos, between their photo sessions.

We are planning for the first workshop to be on a Saturday in January.  If you are interested in more information about the workshop, please send us an email at the address below.  We will have more information on the workshop rolling out in the next few weeks and want those of you interested, to be the firtst to know!!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.  You can email us at workshops@jenstewartphotography.com

Last week I got to go and hang with a terrific family in Old Folsom, which are the Leech Family.  They were alot of fun to hang with, and photograph.  Their little girls, Kaitlin and Kaleigh are so so SO adorable and full of energy, that it was hard to turn away for a minute cause they were so cute.  Justin and Allison met up with his parents and we had a great time.  Between the weather, the kids, and just the whole way the session went, it was awesome. Leech family, hope you like your teaser on teh blog.  Can't wait to show you the rest soon.

Heres the entire family.

Probibly my favorite shot of the day!!!

Kaliegh.......is...............adorable.  Look at those eyes!!!

and again..................adorable.

Kaitlin is so full of energy and a smile that lights up a room. We were playing hide n seek here.

I asked her how old she was and she said "4" but held out 2 fingers.  Too funny.

Told you, full of energy.

Love this.  Allison playing with Kaitlin.

This is awesome!!

We went down to the river a bit and hung out down there.

Some great shots of Justin and Allison. They are a super cool couple.

Look at her eyes.  I can see where her little girls get it from.

Love that!!!

It's the grandparents turn.

I love these!!

When it was just the girls playing it was so funny.  As kaitlin was playing with Kaliegh was eating dirt.  So funny!!
