Welcome to the new blog of Sacramento Wedding Photographer, Jen Stewart Photography! Please feel free to grab a cup of coffee, sit down and check everything out. Wow, what can I say about Gina, so many wonderful things come to mind, beautiful, fun, full of life, joyful, an absolute JOY to be around.... I could go on and on!! I had such a great time last week with Gina down in Midtown for her senior portrait session! This girl can WORK IT in front of the camera, I'm telling you people, I was in HEAVEN photographing her! :) Gina, thank you for such an awesome afternoon, enjoy your photo teaser, the rest of the photos are coming soon! :)

I could have spend hours at these colorful poles, they were so fun, and moving only an inch or two and you get a whole different look and colors. And well Gina, was WORKIN' IT! :)
Like I said.... GORGEOUS!!!!
And then the light got PERFECT, I think these are some of my favorites from the whole session!!

We are SO exctied to announce the launch of our fresh new website!!! We have been working closely the last few weeks with our website designers, the AWESOME BigFolio, and we are excited to finally be able to share it with you! The new website features bigger photos, an updated portfolio, more user friendly experience, and a few more fun features, we plan to share in the coming weeks! (so check back again soon for updates!) On the topic of checking back soon, we also plan to update the portfolio on a more regular basis, YEA! So what are you waiting for??? Feel free to check out the site, "kick the tires" if you will, and we'd love to hear back from you on your thoughts and experience! On the portrait side of the site, you may notice 2 types of sessions listed. We have now split our sessions into 2 types in order for Chris & Jen to specialize in the type of session we each do best. You can read more about the different types of sessions in the "Investment" section of the Portrait site!!

I had SUCH a great time with Dani at her senior portrait session last week! Dani is so fun and wow, just look at her smile! I warned her that the first few minutes of every session is really us just getting used to each other and her getting comfortable in front of the camera. I went on to joke that the first few photos are normally "practice" photos. Well she needed no practice let me tell you! I think this is one of the few sessions that the first few photos are in the blog post! Dani is just naturally comfortable and confident and radient! Dani I had such a great time with you! Enjoy your teaser, the rest of the photos will be ready soon! Enjoy your senior year and ROCK IT OUT, like you did your portrait session!!!

I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor after Tori's senior portrait session on Monday. Now I'm going to sound like the old lady here...... but I used to nanny Tori, I babysat her since she was like Aiden's age, and then nannied her when she was in 1st grade..... so excuse me while it sinks in just how old I'm getting........ whew.... ok, I think I'm ok now. ;-) After the shock wore off when Tori called asking for Senior Portraits I was beside myself excited!! Tori is an amazing outgoing full of life and fun type of girl..... not to mention gorgeous!!! ;-) When I asked her what she was looking for in her portraits she said, "I dunno, just not pretty nature... yuck, and something that's legit!" ahaha so the challenge was on to find a legit location that wasn't "pretty nature"..... I think we may have found it! ;-) So enjoy your blog teaser Tori, I'm so excited to share the rest with you! (and thanks for braving stinky alleyways and dodging a train for these rockin' shots!!!) ummmmm yeah, this was like the 2nd photo we took..... A-MAZING!!!!
yep.... she rocked it on top of a dumpster... now how many seniors will rock their senior portraits on a dumpster I ask ya, and look AMAZING doing it????
Always gotta take some "safe shots" for the grandparents" ;-)
