On Saturday I got the pleasure of hanging out with the Montgomery family.  We met up at a local trail and had a great time walking, playing with Macen, checking out the wildlife and chatting.  Macen was very excited to see squirels, lizards, and even wild turkeys!  They are such a sweet family, I had a great time hanging out with them.  Thanks for braving the head with me you guys, and enjoy your photo teaser, the rest will be ready soon! :)

I had SUCH a great time with Dani at her senior portrait session last week! Dani is so fun and wow, just look at her smile!  I warned her that the first few minutes of every session is really us just getting used to each other and her getting comfortable in front of the camera.  I went on to joke that the first few photos are normally "practice" photos.  Well she needed no practice let me tell you!  I think this is one of the few sessions that the first few photos are in the blog post!  Dani is just naturally comfortable and confident and radient!

Dani I had such a great time with you!  Enjoy your teaser, the rest of the photos will be ready soon!  Enjoy your senior year and ROCK IT OUT, like you did your portrait session!!!

Last weekend we went out to meet up with Nudrat and her husband Jason. She is a local photographer that we connected with a few years back and have become good friends with. Her business is Impressions by Nudrat. Check out her stuff because it's good!!! :) She contacted us a few months back about hooking up and seeing if we would take some pictures of her and hubbie Jason, so of course we would love to photograph them DUH!! She had all these really cool ideas for her shoot. (Fancy us photogs having alot of ideas) She wanted to do some pics out in a dry field, (we love that especially Jen) She wanted to wear a Saree (LOVE THAT) use a bench of some sort in a dry field as well. (So digging this) It was a blast!!! We headed out where they lived and there was so much to choose from. Tons of dry fields, woodsy areas with dried up creek beds and so much more. It was amazing. After the shoot was done, we went out to dinner and just talked it up with the two of them. It was a great evening and we loved every minute of it. Nudrat and Jason, we hope you like this teaser, because we had a hard time narrowing down your session for the blog!!

A little over a week ago, we went to Glenn Ellen, in the wine country to go photograph Jeffrey & Andi's Wedding at the Jack London Lodge.  This place was very cool, simple, and sophisticated.  Now if you don't remember Jeffrey & Andi from their engagement session they were a fun couple that are trully in love with each other and love to have fun, and that showed on their wedding day.  The day was beautiful, and a tad hot but that didnt effect the day nor Jeffrey and Andi one bit.  Their ceremony was very simple and stylish, with bursts of green and orange and yellow.  Now this wedding I really enjoyed cause it wasn't too big and that made the day even more intimate for them and the families.  You got a sense of excitement in the air, and happiness and it showed.  This ceremony was so emotional.  Tears of joy and happiness were flowing from both sides of the families and when the parents came up to bless the rings, it was trully a awesome moment.  The whole day was amazing and I was blessed to have been there with Jen shooting the wedding.  Jeffrey and Andi, we hope you guys enjoy this teaser from your wedding, and enjoy your honeymoon.  We can't wait to show you the rest from your special day.

The Bling!!!

I WANT THIS SHIRT!!!

Gorgeous dress!!!

The grooms accessories for the special day!!!

I loved these next 2 shots.  Andi was going to her room to get ready and peaked in where Jeffrey was and gave him a quick kiss.  So cute!!

Such a proud Mom!!!

First Look.

Love that!!

So one of the many reasons we loved Jeffrey & Andi is that they wanted to do something different with their wedding pictures and...............well.................WE LOVE IT!!!!

So beautiful!!!!

Right before the ceremony started, Andi & her mom were talking and hugged.  I love my job!!!

The Decor was so cool.  I loved the burst of color all around.  PLus what a great idea for table setting then with a simple green apple, and the leaves in the stem having their name on it.  So cool!!!

Love that shot!!

Happy Family!!!

It was a tad hot that day.  Love this moment though.

Can I just say, yet again how much I love my job???  I get to travel around, get a glimpse into a family's life, and love for each other and record that through photos for them to always look back on and remember the joy, love and closeness of those moments.  I walk away from every session like I've made new friends, falling in love with yet another family.

Last Wednesday's session was no different, I have been looking forward to this session for quite a while.  Mariah is a very talented photographer herself, based out of Sebastapol, CA. We've been on a photography forum together for some time, and when she contacted me for her family session I was both excited to finally meet her and have the opportunity to photograph her family, but also nervous... she's a photographer...

The moment I walked into the door of her home any nerves I had been feeling disappeared.  She and her husband Aaron made me feel right at home. Their family is so adorable, how could I not instantly fall in love with them?? We made bead necklaces, snuggled on the bed as a family, played out in the yard, and even went and visited grandma & grandpa and a couple cousins who's 3 properties ajoin! (how cool is that!?!?!)

Mariah, I'm sorry this blog post took me longer than I wanted, I was so in love with the photos, I had a heck of a time narrowing them down for the blog!  And then had it ready to go last night.... but my computer wouldn't connect to the internet!! (so frustrating!)

BUT, that was then, this is now, and NOW, I can't wait to share a glimpse into this beautiful, sweet family! Mariah, enjoy the teaser, there are more to come soon!

Ani is so sweet with her little brother, she even was loving on him as he was nursing.  What a good big sister!

The day after our session little Dylan went in early in the morning to have surgery for club foot.  He's been in casts most of his young little life.  But I'm happy to say that the surgery went well, and he's healing nicely! :)

aaaaahhhhhh, nothing melts my heart faster than a Daddy/Daughter moment!!

 ok.... well maybe a baby's laugh.... :)

Ani is so proud of how big she's getting and was very excited to show me how she can brush her own hair.  She took the task very seriously (like any girl should) ;) It was so cute, as she was wetting her hair and brushing it, she was brushing her curls straight.  I asked her at one point, "does your hair curl as it dries?" to which she answered, "no it curls when I sleep" haha, I love 3 year olds!

While playing in the yard there was a small accident with Ani and their dog.  Ani was crying about the scratch and I couldn't help but capture this Mommy moment of Mariah taking care of the scratch for Ani and making everything better.

Dylan only has eyes for you Mariah! :)

Poor Dylan was at the end of coping, he just wanted to take a nap and nurse the evening away.  Ani did such a wonderful job trying to comfort him, but alas... he wanted his mama. :)

And then I'll leave you with on last photo, of Dylan and his adorable dimples and smile.  Watch out Aaron & Mariah.... he's going to melt girls hearts, just like he melted mine!
