Last week, I did something a bit outside our normal box.  I headed downtown to Marketplace Communications, a division of Aaron Reed & Associates, and did some corporate photography for their launch.  I had a great time meeting everyone and loving being able to mix up the traditional headshots with a few "lifestyle-esqe" portraits as well.  I will actually be heading back down there tomorrow to finish up with a few people who were unable to be there last week.  Can't wait to see everyone again! :)

Would you check out the view they have from their conference room!?!?!  Pretty awesome hu?

For the last 2 years, I have had the priveledge to shoot Jen's Sisters family, which has become one of the major events for me cause DUH, they are one of the coolest families on the planet, (besides us I mean come on ;)  Every year they have a theme or a look about the family portraits and I get so excited when Kristen comes to me and has ideas for the shoot.  Here was their first shoot, then last years shoot, anfd this year Kristen wanted to go with a 40's 50's theme, and immediately I thought of a abandoned house with like the beaver cleaver family type shoot and BAM.............it was a homerun.  Jen came with me on this shoot and did a great job with ideas.  They even brought props for the shoot and let me tell you, this was the best one yet.  I was telling Kristen " whats next year going to be and will it top this years?"  Kristen I LOVE your ideas and concepts for your family shoots.  It is so much fun, you don't even know.  Enjoy Lewis family.  Can't wait to show you the rest.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!!

This is so so so so so so so so....you get the idea.......COOL!!!!!

So Jen had this really cool idea and heres the final product.  I LOVE IT PERIOD!!!!

So who would have thought that summer break would come and go just like that.  I mean, it felt like yesterday that the boys just got out of school for the summer, and now they are right back in.  Its crazy to think that brian is now 10, and in 4th grade, and regan is almost 8, and in 2nd grade.  So crazy to think about.  My kids are growing up, becoming BIG BOYS.  With the soccer season right around the corner as well, I am a very proud dad of all my kids.  They have such a personality and spark about each one that I sometimes will catch myself just staring at them in awe of how unique they are.

So this was one year ago.  Dont mind the old attempt of the signature.

One year later.  Holy smokes what have they been eating.

I LOVE REGANS HAIR!!!!!!

This cant be my kid.  He's too big!!!

Now that Jen and I are full time photogs, we are working harder then ever, but its good.  Working at something we both have a passion for and love to do is very rewarding  One of the things we love about our job, is pleasing our clients and seeing and orr hearing about their reactions to the photos.  A few weeks ago Jen had done a family session for Danya, which was a totally cute session.  After we had posted the gallery and slideshow, we received a email shortly after and we wanted to share her email with you.  This is one of the reasons why we love what we do.

"OhMyGosh!!! Ok, with the music and everything, yeah... you totally brought tears to my eyes!!! You are magical!! I can't wait to show this to Chris! How will I ever choose??!  Thank You from the bottom of my heart, we have never ever had pictures like this! The boys are just so raw, and so perfect in every way!!! You truely captured our family!
Thank you, thank you!!"

Last Weekend Jen and I drove up to Lake Almanor to the town of Chester to meet up with Dustin & Jordan, and photograph their beautiful wedding.  Talk about a great town that has the look and feel of Tahoe, BUT BETTER!!! ( In my opinion)  :)  We drove up Friday evening and stayed at this really cool Bed and Breakfast called The Bidwell House.  Talk about a cozy place, and the breakfast was OUTSTANDING.  3 course breakfast every morning was OK with me!!  Saturday came and Jen and I got ready to go.  Jen met up with Jordan right across the way from where we were staying.  I went and met the guys at a cabin right by the lake. The wedding party met at this really cool, old, rundown barn that was HUGE, and made for great shots outside.................and inside.  Once we got inside it was amazing!!!  Old wood that was exposed to the elements had aged the wood to have a unique look.  I told Dustin "Dude you should have got married here".  It was tons of fun there that I dodnt want to leave the area, but we kinda had to cause DUH their  not getting married at the barn.  ( but they should have, in my opinion of course)

This wedding was flawless from beginning to end as we had plenty of time to get the shots we needed, and even had time to go back to the babin with the wedding party and chill and chat with them.  Good times, Good times!!  As the day went well, it was also a emotional day for Dustin and his family.  Such emotion flowed from them, as there were times when he was getting his jacket on and his mom came into the room and just was filled with joy and happiness seeing her son getting married, to another time with Dustin, his mom and dad exchanging little gifts before the ceremony, and seeing all of them with tears in their eyes, it almost made me want to tear up.  The ceremony was simple, and beautiful.  What can i say except we had tons of fun shooting their wedding.  Dustin and Jordan enjoy your teaser from your wedding.  We can't wait to show the rest to you.

The dress was stunning.

Love this shot of his mom tying his tie for him and just smiling with happiness.

Also this boy cracked me up cause he was playing with the bubble machine the dj provided, and attempted to karate chop each bubble.
