Ok, as I said the other day, it's been raining a LOT and we've been BORED!  Well let me correct that, Chris and I have been crazy busy, but the KIDS have been BORED!  So we have had to get creative in the ways to keep them occupied and avoid a homicide in our home ;)  The other night Chris decided to dig out the glow sticks, turn off all the lights in the house and let the boys play "lightsabers".  From there Chris decided to pull out the camera and have fun with some slow shutter speeds.  We all had a blast coming up with new designs and ideas, and it killed at least an hour of our time (and increased the sanity of all our family members an additional day) ;)

This is Brian's try at a smiley face.  If you look closely you can see  the eye, nose and open mouth :)

Regan decided to just make circles (and if you look closely you can see his face too!)

This was Aiden's design (yeah, that's totally Aiden, crazy, wilde and a blur of motion!) haha

Then the kids decided to all "draw" together and see what they can create

Brian's Tornado

I wanted to see if I could write my name and make a heart.  Not too bad for not being able to see my lines, and writing in cursive.......... backwards! :)

Then Brian tried his, I'm impressed, for 9 years old, that's a tough concept to write in cursive backwards..... heck it was hard for me as an adult! ;)

Last tuesday Jen and I, our good friend and local photographer Jeremy Maz, and other local photographer and new friend Ross Hagen, went to the Old Sugar Mill out in Clarksburg, to have some fun and just shoot with friends and not have any worries at all.  Jen and I shot there last year for a wedding and it is a SWEET place to shoot by far one of the best venues to date.  Donna, the venues Coordinater, is great to work with and was very generious to let us come and shoot for our personal project.

When we got up that day we knew it was going to rain, but not ALL DAY, but that didnt stop us from going.  We were so excited for this because the areas that surround the property, let alone the buildings and structures, are amazing.  The place is all brick, with grape vines across the street for acres and acres.  The mill, if you can guess, was a old sugar mill back in 1934 and now is privately owned.  They have for the last 7 years transformed some of the mill into a winery. Its trully a amazing.

Some of the great textures there and we found some random little old trikes sitting aroundin the old part of the mill.

So we started inside where they keep the wine barrels and the wine.  Meet Brandon and Danielle, a super cool and cute couple that came out and were both fantastic.

Can we say Cute???  Yah we can.

Meet Breanna, who works with me at my day job.  She is wanting to get into the acting biz and has such a great personality let alone has a KILLER eyes, and a natural beauty about her.

Umm yah Beautiful...........

So after we spent a little while inside the winery, it was time to really have some fun inside the old rundown mill.  Everything was dirty, cracked, messy, broken, rusty, old, and just was AMAZING.  Truely a playground for photographers.

The models changed outfits before we ventured out to the mill.  This was so fun!!!!!!

Look at those eyes!!!  Crazy Cool!!!

One of my favs of the day of Breanna!!

I had a opportunity to take brandon off for a bit by himself.  He has a look about him that was so perfect for this venue.

Umm does he look like he belongs on the front cover of a mag???????  YES!!!!

As i was shooting Brandon, Jen was having fun with Danielle, and man did she rock these!!!

Probably one of my Favs Jen shot!!!!  LOVE IT!!!

The mill had endless places to shoot all over.

Jen and flash..... dirty old bikes and junk............ a dirty messy smelly corner.......mix well.....and you get this.

Then I had some fun with with just using natural light from the windows.  Kinda looks like something from SAW.

Jen took this shot. I was holding a reflector above her while it was pouring down rain outside.  Love this shot.

and again Jen........................AMAZING!!!!

There are times when Jen or myslef will capture each other shooting each other while the other is shotting and we get in these ackward positions to get the right shot, and as you can see, Jeremy makes himself tri-pod like.

The light in the building was amazing and it was rainging outside.

We walked outside the mill to another building that was HUGE inside and filled with piles of old bricks.  Again AMAZING!!!!  Oh and there was a white owl that lived in the building.  It was so cool.

Jen striking a pose!!!

Before we left we wanted to get a shot of Danielle in the vinyards but it was pouring, but she said "lets do it I'm down!"  So we did it and it was so worth it!!

Us walking across the road.

Oh my my my my my................

So before we end this post, Jen was going to have to model for us as another couple was unable to make it, but thankfully Brandon & Danielle were able to come out at the last minute.  But since she had come prepared, I decided to have her model for a bit before we left and heres a few I got of her.

 Thriller comes to mind.

I lOVE THIS WOMAN!!!

Jeremy, Ross, Breanna, Brandon, Danielle, and Donna thank you all so much for coming out to have fun, letting us play at a terrific venue.  We had so much fun!!!!

It has been rainy here for quite some time now.  Our area sorely needs the rain (the the Sierra's need the snow).

However our family is getting a bit stir crazy with all this rain.  The other day the kids had, had enough of being cooped up in the house and just wanted to run around a PLAY! So we told the boys to get their coats on and some play clothes and go have fun in the rain.  Of course the moment they step outside it doesn't just rain, it POURS.  They had a blast running around and playing though.  Of course we decided to take this as an oportunity to take some fun photos of them getting drenched in the rain, and OF COURSE the moment either Chris or I stepped outside to take photos, the big huge drops of rain gave way to a heavy "sprinkle".  Still soaking them, but not allowing for the raindrops to show in the photos :(  We would go inside, the drops would get larger...... we'd go outside and they would become more like a heavy mist again........... oh well.  The kids had a blast either way (and we were saved another day of sanity!) ;)

I know, many of you are saying, "ABOUT TIME!!!!".  If you have been following us on Twitter, or Facebook then you know that one of our projects with the new year was to build a new, more efficient workstation.

Prior to this new and GREATLY improved makover, we were working from a small dinette table that served as our main desk.  There was another desk in our bedroom but it was cluttered and inefficient, and then of course there was the laptop.

This was initially set up 2.5 years ago when we first launched the business, and it was mainly all me.  A few months later Chris joined me in this labor of love, and ever since we have been making due with that setup. Here is a photo I took when we first set that up.

As our business grew, so did our clutter and need for more organization and space.  We dreamed of being able to work side by side.

With the new year, we decided that is was time to make our dream a reality.  We rearranged for the changess we wanted to make.  We spent many evenings online shopping for the perfect setup and configuration.  And finally found EXACTLY what we needed at one of our favorite stores ever, IKEA!!!  We still have a few minor pieces we want to get, including a filing cabinet/shelv unit for the opposite wall, but we are so excited about this!  Everything now has a place, it's orgainzed, efficient, and we get to work side-by-side!  We are both in LOVE with our new desk!!!!

As long as Chris and I have been together, we haven't made a HUGE deal out of Valentine's day.  We prefer to show each other our love all year long.  We love the excuse to do something fun on Valentine's day, but aren't really the type to go buy jewlery or something extravegant.  And now, ever since having kids, we normally make it a family holiday.  This year we hung out around the house.  For dinner we made personal pizzas.  The boys had so much fun making their own special pizza.

Regan really liked the "smoosh" method of pizza creation.  He made himself a cheese pizza and every time he added more cheese he SMOOSHED it down and compact as he could! haha

Brian went for a traditional pepperoni pizza,  nothing fancy.  But he did layer it several times, YUM!

Aiden cracked me up at his concentration throughout the process.  You' d think he was working with highly combustable substances!

His method, the mountain method, he layered a healthly layer of sauce, then a MOUNTAIN of cheese, and finally a MOUNTAIN of pepperoni :)

Aidena also enjoyed the "smoosh" method he learned from his big brother ;)

They were all very proud of their creations!

Aiden however couldnt' wait to cook it (or even be bothered by using his hands!!!!!) hahahaha

Then it was my turn.  I decided to get in the Valentine's sprit and make mine a heart design! That was the best tasting heart pizza I've ever had!

Sadly Chris made his pizza while I was tending to Bella and I missed taking photos of his creation, sorry babe! :)
