Last weekend I met up with one of the coolest kids EVA!!!  His name is Erick and this kid was DA BOMB!!!!!  One of the coolest things I noticed about him even before I met him was a question he answered on the questionnaire we send out to our clients to get a better idea of their personality.  The question on our questionnaire was “Introduce me to yourself, your likes, dislikes, joys, fears, hobbies, what you enjoy doing in your free time, etc.” Erick Answered ” I’m a pretty simple. I enjoy video games, music (almost everything except country), mainly alternative rock, I enjoy Hockey. I am new to learning the guitar, but enjoy it. I believe in non-conformity when it comes to high school social aspects. I don’t follow, I tend to do my own thing.” LOVE THAT!!!!  Already I was stoked to photograph him.  We met up at my house and drove around to some  cool places in Old Roseville.  From the beginning Erick was awesome to chat with, and by the end of the session we were joking around and having a good time.  One of the coolest things that happened while I was photographing him, A young woman walked by on the phone, stopped, and asked Erick ” what are you getting photos taken for?’  He replied “senior portraits”.  The woman replied back ” cool I think your very cute” and then walked on.  That was so awesome.

Wow, what can I say about Gina, so many wonderful things come to mind, beautiful, fun, full of life, joyful, an absolute JOY to be around…. I could go on and on!! I had such a great time last week with Gina down in Midtown for her senior portrait session! This girl can WORK IT in front of the camera, I’m telling you people, I was in HEAVEN photographing her! I could have spend hours at these colorful poles, they were so fun, and moving only an inch or two and you get a whole different look and colors. And well Gina, was WORKIN’ IT!

I had SUCH a great time with Dani at her senior portrait session last week! Dani is so fun and wow, just look at her smile! I warned her that the first few minutes of every session is really us just getting used to each other and her getting comfortable in front of the camera. I went on to joke that the first few photos are normally “practice” photos. Well she needed no practice let me tell you! I think this is one of the few sessions that the first few photos are in the blog post! Dani is just naturally comfortable and confident and radient!

I’m still picking my jaw up off the floor after Tori’s senior portrait session on Monday. Now I’m going to sound like the old lady here…… but I used to nanny Tori, I babysat her since she was like Aiden’s age, and then nannied her when she was in 1st grade….. so excuse me while it sinks in just how old I’m getting…….. whew…. ok, I think I’m ok now.

After the shock wore off when Tori called asking for Senior Portraits I was beside myself excited!! Tori is an amazing outgoing full of life and fun type of girl….. not to mention gorgeous!!! When I asked her what she was looking for in her portraits she said, “I dunno, just not pretty nature… yuck, and something that’s legit!” ahaha so the challenge was on to find a legit location that wasn’t “pretty nature”….. I think we may have found it!

Megan and I met up last Tuesday, if you are local to the area, you may remember last Tuesday’s bizarre weather. It was crazy windy, with dark swirling clouds in one direction, and clear beautiful skys if you turned around. But Megan was undaunted by the weather. I met her out at the river, and SO enjoyed chatting with her, getting to know her better and learn about the awesome plans and amazing opportunities these next few years have in store for her!

Megan, you are so quick and easy to smile, and was just a pure joy to hang out with! Enjoy your photos, the rest are coming soon!

As we were walking back to the car to grab her prom dress for her to change into we both commented on how ominous the clouds looked, but there was no rain in the forcast (I even double checked 2x) so we continued on.

I guess the heavens just couldn’t take her hotness anymore and needed to cool her off, because they opened up and it started to POUR as we walked back to the car!

On Tuesday I had the honor of hanging out with Shannon for her senior portraits. Can I just tell you how cool her and her mom are? If you are in the area, you may remember that on Tuesday afternoon, it wasn’t just raining, the skies had opened up the floodgates and water was POURING down! But Shannon was game for whatever! We decided to grab some photos on Tuesday, and then continue the session at a later (drier) date.

Shannon, thank you for hanging with me, I had a great time with you and your mom, and I look forward to seeing you again soon!
