Last week we met up with Chris & Madelyn to photograph their engagement session in Fair Oaks.  We met them a few years back at our church while  Jen and I were working in the High School Ministry.  They are super cool and laid back people.  Chris is a good friend of mine, and he shares the love for photography too.  When they had contacted us a few months ago to see if we would be interested in photographing their wedding day we got excited.  The session went very well and these two were a blast to photograph.  Chris & Madelyn enjoy your teaser and we cant wait to show you the rest of your photos.

Ok so let me start by saying that Luke & Noknoy are way fun and super cute together. We met up with them last weekend in Old Folsom and had a great time. They are so fun to be around that it spreads to others. You laugh with them, joke with them, and just smile with them. THEY ARE FUN!!! Between their personalities and ideas they wanted to do for the engagement shoot, it makes us realize how much we LOVE our job! They were down for anything and it showed. There is no such thing in their book as being uncomfortable in front of the camera. Luke & Noknoy, we had a blast with you two. Enjoy your teaser and we look forward to showing you the rest soon.

Last week Jen and I met up with Jamie and Birdy for their engagement session in Roseville. Its always cool when we shoot someone from a wedding we shot a few years ago. Birdy was a brides-maid in Nick & Jessica’s Wedding which was awesome to connect with her at that time, and to now shooting her engagement and wedding is even cooler. Jamie is a funny guy that has a goofball sense of humor, which I am so down for cause DUH……… thats me too. Jen will agree with me cause she loves her goofball that she married. Jamie & Birdy played off of each other and had alot of fun in front of the camera. We had a blast with them!! We then went to coffee after the session and had some great conversations about the wedding and just life in general. Jamie & Birdy we had a great time with you two and can’t wait for your wedding day. Enjoy this teaser from your session.

Last week, Jen and I ventured out to the Grassvalley area to meet up with David & Robyn to shoot their Engagement session. The day was perfect. A little cold but the autumn atmosphere was just right. David is a firefighter up there, and Robyn is a nurse. They both wanted to incorporate that a bit in their session, and David got the ok from his station to let us shoot there, as well as have one of the trucks pulled out to use in the shoot. SWEET!!!! Introducing the ultra cool couple, Mike & Aurlie!!!!! Now everyone these two had alot of fun with this session and it shows in their photos. From beginning to end they truly ROCKED IT!!!! From the hills of Newcastle, to the old town of Newcastle, these too didn’t stop for the camera. WE LIKEY THAT!!!! In fact we liked it so much, that we were like little kids when we got home from their session, and couldn’t wait to upload their photos and begin. It was kinda like “Oh my gosh” then I said ” I know” then Jen said “Seriously” then I said in the words of Rachel Zoe, “I.DIE.”

On Thursday Jen and I met up with Zack and Sara, a couple that we couldn’t wait to shoot. We met up with them about a month ago to talk about what we do, how we approach each wedding and photo session, and right away we felt that this couple would be so much fun. The next day we received a email from Sara saying they wanted to book us. We love that!!!

After receiving their questionarre, both of us were excited. Such a sweet story of how they met, and how much they love each other, plus being goofy and funny is always a nice touch. We met with them in midtown Sacramento, and went from there. Jen and I had such a good time with them. So good of a time, Jen and I could not wait to start working on their session. Zack and Sara we can’t say enough on how much we enjoyed hanging out with you guys and getting to know you better, & photograph you two. Enjoy your teaser!!

Ok before we ended the session we saw these train lights and………..well…………….what can I say………….Zack & Sara ROCKED THIS SESSION!!!!

Meet Ryan, Lisa, and Macen. They are a family that is so laid back, fun and cool!! We always love the idea when a couple does a engagement session and incorporates the kids in it as well. When we met them at their house, and got to know them more, we knew right away that we were going to have fun, and fun we did!! Macen is 7 years old and is full of energy! He was a crack up. I asked him ” so you looking forward to taking pictures?” and his reply was “well……..not really” Oh the honesty of children. Well I have to say that once we started the session, Macen was in full effect. From jumping off a bench in the backyard, to playing football with dad, to running around the park, to swinging. This kid was amazing!! Plus in the middle of the session he was asking us “Am I in the next photo?” So cute!! Ok, ok, enough of Macen, now on to Ryan and Lisa!! These two are trully in love and just love everything about each other. When we got their questionare and read it, both Jen and I were like “oh man, they are going to be a blast to meet and shoot” and they were. Such a awesome couple, let alone a awesome family.
