Last night Jen and I had a chance to go out on a date. What is a date?? Can someone please tell me what that is? Give you a hint on how long its been since we have gone on a date. Our good friends Ben and Lauren offered to watch our kids for us and we took them up on the offer. On top of going out, I wanted to get Jen’s wedding ring fixed. It had broke about a year ago and she hasn’t been able to wear it since. I even bought her a replacement ring for the time being but it just wasn’t the same. On Tuesday I went over to Kenny G’s Jewelry store and was referred by another good friend of ours Angela cause her dad, Fred, works there and will give you a honest quote and truly help us out. He did just that. Not only was I able to give him the ring on Tuesday, he had the ring fixed and looking so much better by Thursday!!!! THURSDAY!!! That is crazy service. So before we went to dinner, I wanted to take Jen over to get her ring, but little did she know that I was going to propose to her all over again and ask if she would Re-marry me again and renew our vows for our 15 year wedding anniversary. So we get the ring, it looks amazing but before Jen puts it on, I grab the ring from her and tell her “just hold on a sec I have something for you”
I give my point and shoot camera to Fred and ask if he can take a few pictures of this. Jen still doesnt have a clue whats going to happen. So I have the ring in my hand and I tell her ” so I have something for you and its something I have been wanting to give you. babe you are a awesome wife, a terrific mom to our children, you complete me in every way and I am so blessed to have you in my life. And I know when i proposed to you 12 years ago it was nothing romantic or fancy, but I want to give you that” So i got down on one knee in front of her and I’ll admit i almost started crying cause she was tearing up. I got down on one knee and had the ring in my hand and asked her “babe will you re marry me again and re new our vows on our 15th anniversary?” She said yes!!! I was worried there for a second. NOT!!! One of the ladies in the store that worked there starting crying, Fred gave us a huge hug, and the night was great and Jen’s ring looks fantastic. We went and enjoyed a nice dinner together, and then came back home and had a great night visiting with Ben and Lauren till like 1:30am which we love cause when you have great conversation going on, you don’t want to stop. I am truly a blessed man with a great wife and I cant wait to grow old with her and continue our journey together.
THANK YOU SO MUCH BEN AND LAUREN FOR WATCHING OUT KIDS AND GIVING US A AWESOME DATE NIGHT, AND ANGELA THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REFERRING YOUR DAD TO HELP US GET JEN’S RING FIXED!! HE IS A AMAZING PERSON!! Here are the pictures from the proposal.
This is where i was telling her how much I loved her and how special she is to me.

The ring placement.

The kiss. I like that!!

Have a great day everyone!

The other day I was sitting at my computer working, and started thinking about all of the great people that Jen and I are surrounded by in this amazing industry. Pros that really care about sharing with others their trademarks, and know how and not holding back on that. One person in particular is Colin Michael. Jen and I meet Colin back a few years ago and he has become a great friend to us. There is so much that he has shared with us that we now implement into our business that we are truly grateful. I have had the opportunity more then a few times to be able to help out Colin at a few weddings and engagement sessions over the last 2 years and I learn something new each time. Colin has a serious talent in photography and he is by far one of the best when it comes to using flash. He makes it look effortless. A few weeks ago I got a email from him asking if I was available to help him with a engagement shoot in downtown Sacramento, and I was stoked. I didn’t photograph much this time around but that is totally cool. I like to hold light stands and just watch Colin do his thing. I am very fortunate to meet all these great photographers and like I said before, Colin is one amazing photographer and great friend. I was able to shoot a few pictures of his couple Laura and Nick while helping him out. Check out Colin Michal’s work when you all get a chance.

Today I was picking up the living room after the boys were off to school. As I was cleaning, I noticed a few toys on the entertainment center shelves. Then I noticed that I had just walked into a sniper scene! Oh the things you find in a house full of boys.

Do you find funny things while cleaning? Would love to hear from you in your comments!
Well back to work… enjoy your day everyone!

I want to start off by saying Lisa, you totally ROCKED THIS SESSION FO SHO!!! Some of you know Lisa, the owner and rad hairstylist up at Sacco Salon in Newcastle. Lisa has been our personal hairstylist for a while now and has become more then just our hairstylist. She has become one of our dear friends. One of the coolest things when we go to see her at her salon, is that she already has a idea in mind for us before we even step foot in the door, and when we leave, we leave looking awesome. Now can your hairstylist do that? Lisa asked if I could take some pictures of her for her marketing materials, so of course I said yes, and people let me tell you that this was one of my favorite sessions EVA!!! If any of you in the Sacramento, Auburn, or Newcastle area are in need of a hairstylist, check out Lisa at Sacco Salon. Lisa I can’t wait to show you the rest of your photos. Enjoy this teaser!!
Meet Lisa. She rocks!!

I love our job and I love the fact that Jen and I can do what we love to do together, especially when we can have some of the coolest clients around. Like for instance Kyle & Lauren. They are way cool!!! We met last week in the Roseville area and ventured off. Kyle & Lauren love to be outside and just be with each other. One of the coolest things they love to do is just get in their car and drive wherever, which Jen and I used to do. I think that is so cool. Kyle and Lauren we had a blast with you two and enjoy the teaser of photos of your photos. We can’t wait to show you the rest.
Meet Kyle & Lauren.

K What can we say about Blair. She’s fun, cute, has style, HAWT, and did I say she is fun???? We had just got back from Las Vegas for the WPPI convention yesterday, and while we were there with all the craziness that is WPPI, we finally got to meet Blair from Blair Nicole Photography We have been talking a lot on forums, Twitter, and texting, we were excited to FINALLY met her, and she is soo adorable!!! Unfortunately her husband Sean wasnt able to come out to Vegas, which we were bummed about cause from what I hear from Blair & others, he’s fun to be around.
They’re expecting a baby boy in the next few months, and we were SO excited when Blair contacted us to do a maternity session while we were together in Vegas!!!!
We got together on Modnday and walked around the hotels and casinos and found some sweet spots!!! I don’t wish we lived in Vegas but, the spots you can find are crazy cool. Ok enough of this chatter, its time to show this session. FUN!!!

Ok first off, this family was so so so sooooooooooooooo much fun to photograph, and not only that, their son Cole, lets just say this little guy was not afraid to be in front of the camera at all!!! I love it!!! Last weekend I ventured out to Roseville to meet up with Leslie, Ken, and the amazing Cole. Now this family was so genuine and loving, and it trully showed. From the interaction they have together, to the laughter, to everything about them, they trully are a amazing family, and their actions and positive attitude is contagious, plus Tehy love baseball/softball so in my book you already are way cool. You can’t help but to laugh with them and just enjoy them around you. It was so much fun, I couldn’t wait to start editing these bad boys! Leslie, Ken and Cole, you guys ROCKED THIS WAY OUT!!! Enjoy the teaser!!!
